The FDT Group is dedicated to provide Open Access to Device Intelligence for the automation industry.
Like with other technologies, the FDT Group takes care of the evolution of the FDT specification in
response to the feedback from end users. The feedback is collected at FDT events, fairs, customer visits or special meetings with user associations, such as NAMUR or WIB. End users may also become a member of the FDT Group and be invited to serve on various technology committees within the FDT Group. Thus, FDT Technology development involves close cooperation with complementary technologies and milestone reviews with end users.
